My final design was inspired by playing along to a few fun challenges:

I’m getting inky with the Creative Celebrations Mix & Match 6X6 DSP, Soirée Salutations stamp set, Seasonal Cheer embossing folder, Hydrangea Hue, Peppermint candy gems and unbranded silver thread.

Love the Rudolph the Reindeer vibes in the Creative Celebrations Mix & Match 6x6 DSP - the whole pack gives some wonderful nostalgic vibes to the 70-80s Christmas’s I grew up with!

Fun Fold Friday - Gatefold Slider

Welcome to another edition of Fun Fold Friday - I’m playing with the Gatefold Slider fold.

My final design was inspired by playing along to a few challenges: 30 Day Christmas Cardmaking Challenge Day 6 Deck the Wreath.

Inspire.Create Stamping challenge - another Christmas card. #ICSC228

I’m getting inky with the Whispering Woods DSP, Detailed Wreath Accents, Nested Essential dies, Soiree Salutations stamp set, Pretty Peacock, Pool Party and Barely Blush inks, Barely Blush glimmer brush and silver twine.  

Fun Fold Measurements 

Coloured Card base

8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored at 2 1/8” in on both sides to create Gatefold

2 squares sized to fit behind your focal image 

White cardstock 

1 insert 4” x 5 1/4” 

2 squares cut slightly smaller than coloured cardstock folded in half and burnished.

DSP

2 strips of 2” x 5 1/4” 

1 strip of 1” x 4” for decorating insert if desired 

Focal image - create yours as desired. I am using the Nesting Essential Dies layered with cardstock and DSP and added a Detailed Wreath Accents blended with Pretty Peacock, Pool Party and Barely Blush inks and then I added Barely Blush glimmer for an added pop of sparkle. 

Coordinating envelope with either strip of DSP or stamping.

Wake Up & Create Thursday #TA4L027

Welcome to another edition of Wake Up & Create Thursday here on the blog.

It’s a little mix of Throwback Thursday with an image or sketch inspiration to use to inspire you to shop your stash and combine some old favourites with new goodies in a new way and than share to inspire others to do the same with their stash! Today’s challenge is a fun sketch inspiration #TA4L027 

Also playing along to a few other fun challenges to bring my final design together: AAA Colourful colour themed challenges #AAA33 with the neutral wooden palette perfect for using my Alpine DSP. 

The Paper Players challenge #PP810 to use plaid - love the golden colour plaid in the old Christmas Greetings mix & match kit. 

30 Day Christmas Cardmaking Challenge Day 5 Candy Cottage vibes … tasty gingerbread fussy cut from the Jars of Joy stamp set and paired with candy canes from Christmas Crew and some peppermint candy embellishments.

Inspire.Create Stamping Challenge #ICSC228 another round of their Christmas card challenge 

I’m getting inky with some old favourites a card base front from Christmas Greeting Mix & Match Kit, Jars of Joy stamp set, metallic gold cardstock paired with this years Christmas Crew Stamp set for my sentiment and Alpine Winter DSP, Real Red and Pecan Pie ink and Peppermint embellishments. 

Final result is a fun & shiny Christmas card for the upcoming seasons - love the gold foil in the plaid.

Whimsical Wednesday

Welcome to another edition of Whimsical Wednesday - sharing a little Christmas Magic elf whimsy.

I’m getting inky with last year’s Festive Friends, from my ole favourite stash the Frosted Foliage dies, this years Seasonal Cheer embossing folder, Snowflake adhesive backed gems, Berry Burst, Peaceful Pine & Barely Blush inks & Wink of Stella unbranded silver twine.

I love the Festive Friends - such an adorable little elf!

Technique Tuesday - Zentangle Fun

Welcome to another edition of Technique Tuesday. Today I’m sharing the wonderfully relaxing art of the Zentangle aka fancy doodling! 

My final design was inspired by playing along to a few fun challenges: Double Trouble challenge  3,2,1 - 3 Doodle Shapes, 2 layers, 1 sentiment. 

Try a Sketch on Tuesday - #TSOT707 - fun doodle sketch 

Colour INKSpiration challenge lovely colour palette I used Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling & Pretty Peacock. 

I’m getting inky with sneak peek of November Online Exclusive Candle Party stamp set which is a fun doodle inspired set, October Product of the Month Shining Stars dies, Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling & Pretty Peacock inks & Samp Write markers, a fine black marker plus a fidget spinner. 

Basic Zentangle process - for the Star

1. Start with your star shape and find the middle 

2. Use a ruler to draw a line from the middle point to the point of each star to create 5 quadrants.

3. Add your desired doodle designs to your shape. I opted for easy lines and repeated them in each quadrant. However there are so many doodle options out there that are really cool - Pinterest has loads of amazing tutorials! 

4. Colour your doodle if desired.

Because l love an interactive component I than added a fidget spinner to my star so it spins with the fun Zentangle illusion vibes.

Welcome to another edition of Slimline Sunday - enjoying the extra design space.

My final design was inspired by playing along to a few fun challenges: Freshly Made Sketches has a gorgeous sketch which I have stretched to be a slimline. #FMS760

Time Out Challenges #TOC325 - Friendship/Encouragement/Support  … I opted for Sympathy support 

Just Add Ink Choose Two - #JAI797 I chose stripes & spots 

Festive Friday Veterans Day #FF0221 inspo list - red, black, watercolour, poppies and sympathy sentiment.

I’m getting inky with an oldie but a goodie Painted Poppies stamp set and ephemera pack paired with Artisan Sketched Garden DSP, Greetings for All ephemera, red ink, aqua painter, Peaceful Pine glimmer brush and Rhinestones coloured with red.

Sympathy cards are the ones you hope you’ll never need from your stash but are handy to have just in case.
