Fun Fold Friday

Welcome to another edition of Fun Fold Friday. Today I am sharing a split panel fold.

I’m getting inky with the Turtle-y Awesome suite … a great little suite for all sorts of occasions.

Putting it together video:

The turtles are just too cute. For this card I have cut one of the turtles out of the DSP for my focal image.

Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another edition of Throwback Thursday - a chance to show product from my stash combined with current products.

I have been been loving seeing all the new release Lovely Arrangement bundle samples people are sharing so decided to look through my stash to see if I already had something close I could show some inky love! So today I am getting inky with the retired Secret Garden stamps & Die set. I have paired it with current Words Of Beauty bundle, Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder and opal rounds embellishment.

My design was inspired by playing along with a couple challenges. Shout out to The Paper Players colour palette challenge of Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy and Silver.

And speaking of silver the INKspiration blog has a word prompt of shiny #358 so chose some shiny silver foil, twine and acrylic paint markers.

The end card is just so pretty! The watercolour flowers were so relaxing to create and the colour palette gives cool vibes đź’•

Whimsical Wednesday

Welcome to another edition of Whimisical Wings & Things and what’s more whimsical than Turtles dressed up to party!

My design layout is inspired by an old Global Design Sketch #GFP526 for my upcoming team meeting card share.

I’m getting inky the Turtle-y Awesome suite.

Seriously how cute are these 3 little guys? They are all ready to party at an upcoming birthday of someone special in order to make their birthday Turtle-y Awesome!

No Line Watercolour Technique

Welcome to another edition of Technique Tuesday. Today I am sharing the no line watercolour technique.

My card design was inspired by a couple challenges. The Color Dare colour challenge
#686 I’ve chosen Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade with a wee bit of green as a natural option.

The Sunday Stamps sketch #SSC377 - I have swapped the elements orientation from horizontal to vertical.

I’m getting inky with the Fragrant Layers Bundle, Lovely Stripes embossing folder, Splash of Sparkles DSP and the Three Banner punch, Aqua painters and from my stash some Gold Twine and Pearls.

No Line Watercolour technique process video

Tips:
  • Make sure to stamp off your image base so that the lines are just faint enough to see but will disappear when you add your water colours.
  • Start with your lightest watercolour and add in more colour as needed.
Such a pretty delightful result.

I think I might try the same technique but with blends markers instead of the watercolour to see the difference.

Masculine Monday Vibes

Welcome to another edition of Masculine Monday vibes - a chance for me to create cards for the men in my life!

I have been loving seeing all the examples of the new Gears & Texture bundle that I have decided to get inky with the retired Geared Up Garage and paired it with the current Earthen Tones metallic paper, Streaked Dots and Three Banner punch and a colour palette of Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lime Twist. Also pulled out my old distress tool for the edges of my card.

Perfect card for either a birthday or Father’s Day. I love the grungy distressed edges and I flicked tiny splotches with Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lime Twist from my markers along with some bronze acrylic ink for that grunge garage vibe.

Slimline Sunday Funday

Welcome to another edition of Slimline Sunday! Today’s card design was inspired by playing along to a few challenges to get the creative MOJO flowing!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenges and their sketch challenge #663 which I have stretched into a slimline design.

INKspirational word prompt Shine/Shiny and The Time Out Challenge All that Glitters #304  inspired the gold foil and twine choices.

Festive Friday’s National Tulip Day #FF0200. I’ve incorporated Bubble Bath pink from the red family, Timid Tiger orange, Daffodil Delight yellow, Stone & Vine folder for the  dry embossing, a slimline card, Tulips from the Easter Time ephemera  and Timeless Tulips stamps and a Happy Birthday sentiment.

I’m getting inky with some new releases Splash of Sparkles DSP, Easter Time Mix and Match ephemera, Stone & Vine embossing folder, Gold metallic paper, and from my stash Timeless Tulips stamp set, the PinkFresh Slimline Stitched dies, pearls and gold twine.

The Splash of Sparkle DSP is so pretty - the camera doesn’t do it justice. A pretty palette of Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, Bubble Bath, Daffodil Delight, gold, Highland Heather, iridescent, Lemon Lolly, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink, Shy Shamrock and Timid Tiger.

The final result turned out so pretty!

I don’t know about you but am so ready tor spring flowers and smell of fresh cut grass - once the holidays are over I am so done with winter.

Scrappy Saturday

Welcome to another edition of Scrappy Saturday!

Today’s layout was inspired by Sketches in Thyme over on Facebook

I’m getting inky with the Fragrant Layers bundle, December’s POM True Blue Florals DSP, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy blends, Alphabet Ă€ la Mode dies and retired Little Letters dies and pearls.

Traditional 12x12 layout - this sketch was a lovely way to showcase all the DSP patterns in the True Blue Florals. I opted to keep my floral images neutral in white to help them pop and compliment the paper. Space for a 4x6 photo and a 3x4 photo.

Coordinating Pocket Page has space for 3 more 4x6 photos and then showcasing some more of the pretty papers using up some of my scraps from my traditional layout. I stamped and fussy cut the large floral focal image from the Fragrant Layers along with some of the small flower dies to embellish the 4x3 pockets.

This ‘good times’ layout will be perfect to showcase some outdoor adventures with our granddaughter.

Leaning towards doing black and white photos for it. What do you think?
