Fun Fold Friday - Double Triangle Fold

Welcome to another edition of Fun Fold Friday. Today I  playing with the Double Triangle Fun Fold inspired from the Pampered Stamper.

My colour palette was inspired by last week’s TGIF challenges colour palette of Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist and Black.

I’m getting inky with the Artisan Sketched Garden DSP, Phrases & Frames bundle, Antique Pearls, Coastal Cabana marker and Lemon Lime Twist blends. Unbranded Silver Metallic twine.

Measurements courtesy of The Pampered Stamper.

Process Video of the card coming together.

Such a striking colour combo! I have had a lot of designer series paper love affairs over the years but I think that this Artisan Sketched Garden DSP has topped the charts! The striking black and white patterned sides and the fantastic florals on the opposite side just da bomb diggedity!

Still able to stand for display a regular card if desired.

Sneak Peek

Sharing a little sneak peek of tomorrow’s Fun Fold Friday because my design was inspired by the TGIF Friday colour challenge and submissions need to happen today.

How striking is the #tgifc594 Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime & Black colour palette?
Loving how it came together! The black and white is so striking against the bright colours’

Come back tomorrow for all the details on how to make this fun fold.

Fun Fold Friday

Welcome to another edition of Fun Fold Friday. Today’s card is a Modified Gatefold from a recent fun fold card swap with the Stamp2Create team members.

This fun fold design features the Peaceful Garden suite from the holiday catalog. Definitely a keeper set for me as so many versatile themes it can be used for.

Love the doves in this suite - they truly live up to their peaceful name vibes … great for wedding projects, baptism, first communion, sympathy, Christmas.

Double Zed Fold

Welcome to another edition of Fun fold Friday! Today I am sharing a Double Zed Fold card.

My design was inspired by playing along with some fun challenges:”. Over at Hand Stamped Sentiments was inspired by the Gears on their mood board #HSS480.

Over at Just Us Girls its Case the Designer challenge #JUG808. Ina shared a gorgeous card with an alcohol inked background

INKspirational for their shades of blue challenge #359

I am getting inky with the SU January Product of the month Fabulous Phrase as well as from my stash Geared Up Garage, Metallic Silver pen, unbranded twine and Holographic Gems.
I am also using a left over piece of Alcohol Ink Background Vellum.

Materials & Measurements

Quick process video of the fold coming together:

Love the final design from the colour palette used to create my alcohol ink background design to the pops of silver on the gears! It’s just got some much texture and glimmer! Going to make the birthday guy very happy!

Fancy & Funky Fun Fold Friday

Welcome to another edition of Fancy & Funky Fun Fold Friday.

Today’s card is a swing front fold card I saw on Facebook from Stamp with Laurie - a fun way to create a unique swinging focal point for your card design.

My colour palette is inspired by over at AAA Colourful colour themed challenges Colour board #23 - this Blue floral mood board was a perfect push to get my new True Blue Floral DSP out and play with it!

I am playing with goodies from my January preorder. The Fragrant Layers bundle from the online exclusive, the December product of the month True Blue florals DSP featuring Balmy Blue and Night of Navy colour palette, Opal Round embellishments and coordinating Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Old Olive blends for my coloured card design.

Card Measurements

Card Base - coordinate your colour to DSP
51/2” x 81/2” scored at 41/4”

Inserts - coordinate your colour to DSP
51/4” x 4” and 47/8” x 1 7/8”

Basic White
5” x 8” scored at 2”, 4” and 6”. Fold with one valley and than two mountain fold

DSP
3/3/4” x 2 3/8” for front and 43/4” x 13/4” for inside

Video of Assembly

A tip from my mistake - make sure to glue your front focal layer on the correct side of the card front so it will swing when opening. So if card base is facing you - you want to adhere the front focal layer on the right hand side. When decorating the front focal layer make sure your image or embellishments do not go over the edge of the right side.

Funky Folds Friday Blog Pop - Pop Up Corner Card

Welcome to the Funky Folds Blog Hop. We are a group of like-minded papercrafters who love to make cards with funky folds. Funky actually means "modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way"... so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think 'easel', 'pop-up', 'gate fold', 'z-fold', 'shaped' or 3D cards etc. The list is endless.

All Blog Hops have an 'anything goes' theme using any type of 'funky' card fold and I've made a Pop Up Corner Card featuring the All Is Calm All is Bright kit card from Stampin' Up! It is an adorable kit with soft pastel palette of Basic Beige, Gray Granite, Lost Lagoon, Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink and White.

The fold is a quick one that was pretty easy to bring together:

Measurements:
Designer Series Paper of Choice: 5 3/4" x 7" I have used retired Winter Meadow DSP
Coloured Cardstock Colour #1: 5 1/2" x 4 `1/4" and 2 7/8" x 4 1/8"
I have used Pool Party
Coloured Cardstock Colour #2 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and 2 3/4" x 4"
I have used Lost Lagoon
White/Vanilla/Beige Colour #3 2 3/4 x 4" mat for insert for signature and 2 1/4" x 3 1/2" for card front
I have used Whisper White

Score the DSP at 2 inch mark along the length and again along the width. Tip - if your DSP has images that need to face up than make sure to orient your paper so that that intersecting score lines will be in the top left corner and your images on paper are pointing up.

Fold the Corner down to where the score lines so that the score lines all line up neatly on both sides and then burnish. Fold the two inner diagonal score lines inward to form the corner pop up square in top left corner.

Take the 2 large coloured cardstock pieces and mat the 5 1/8" x 4 1/8" onto the 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and than mount the DSP portion onto this.

Pop open and mount the 2 1/4" x 3 1/3" insert so that it is up in the left hand corner so it wont show when the card is assembled.

Take the 2 3/4" x 4" coloured cardstock and mount onto the 2 7/8" x 4 1/4" coloured cardstock.

Using your White/Vanilla/Beige 2 3/4" x 4" card front  decorate your card front as desired. Once card front is complete than mount onto the coloured mat.

Card front is than adhered to the top left corner of the card front onto the top corner square pop out.

Your card is complete and ready for sending out to someone special!

Up next is Tammy Fite USA and I'm keen to see what she has created this month.

If you love to make cards with creative folds and would like to join in with our monthly Funky Folds Blog Hop, you are welcome to head on over to our community group on Facebook to be part of the fun.

Fancy Fold Fridays

Welcome to another edition of Fancy Fold Friday - I was introduced to today’s Pull Out & Pop Up fun fold by a team member, Katie Clark, during our monthly Stamp2Cr8 team get together and just had to give it a try!

Im also playing along with Global Design Project #GDP520 Case the Designer. I am using the new Friendly Foliage bundle as my focal in my design as I don’t have the Top Note set the designer used.

Also playing along with Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc282 - with the top row of leaves, enamel sequins dots and Fun Fold.

A huge shout out to Lisa Curcio for the wonderful tutorial and measurements! She did it so well there is no point in me trying to recreate the wheel so will share it here!

I chose to play with my new preorder of Stampin’ Up! goodies for upcoming Novembers Online exclusives the Friendly Foliage stamp and coordinating dies. I paired with the Traditions of Christmas DSP and Greetings for You ephemera sentiments to create a Christmas card.

I love the new Friendly Foliage bundle knew I had to have it when I saw it on the preorder sneak peek - the final product is just so pretty - lots of texture between the specially DSP paired with the stamped gold embossed image, I used the foliage die cuts in old olive and gold foil and some gold twine and Traditional Sparkling sequins. Love that it’s so versatile for Christmas and will be good for so many other occasions!

Starts out flat to fit in the envelope:

Pull gently:

Pull as it lifts up to pop up

Fully popped - area to write a message and sign your card:

It’s such a fun pop up and surprising easy once you get going! I think next I am going to try a kids birthday card with it and maybe a wobbler on the pop up panel if it won’t be too thick to slide in and out.

Fun Fold Friday

Welcome to another edition of Fun Fold Friday where k push myself to create a card that’s not my standard go to A2 style.

Today I am playing with the Accordion Fun Fold featuring the Everyday Arches dies but you can do this fold with whatever shape card base you want!

Assembly is very easy - just line up the bases to fit between each of the scored areas.

Today’s card design features my newest stamp set - Pine Tree Trimmings - a prize from my upline’s team meeting last weekend. Who doesn’t love a stamp set in exchange for creating 5 design samples for the team to use? That’s one of the things I love most about the papercrafting community - everyone is so generous and supportive of helping sure everyone has what they need to shine no matter their personal paper crafting goal!

This set is very cute and the tree bases could totally be used past the holiday season with thinking of your or happy birthday sentiments!

This card fold fits a standard A2 envelope although depending on how you embellish it you might need extra postage as it can be a little thicker than a normal A2.

Have an amazing weekend!
