Double Front Flip Flap Fold

Welcome to another edition of Fancy & Funky Fold Friday. Today I am sharing a fun double front flip flap fold that’s perfect for when you have a big group needing to sign the card!

My colour palette choice was inspired by the Global Design projects colour challenge #GDP529 Misty Moonlight, Afternoon Azure and Balmy Blue. A perfect reason to showcase the Blue Florals DSP from Decembers product of the month. 

I’m getting inky with the Fragrant Layers Bundle, Triple Banner punch, December’s POM Blue Florals DSP and retired Stitched So Sweetly Rectangle dies and some Pearl embellishments.

Love the final design - it looks like a normal A2 fold with a surprise flip flap behind the front focal image!

Bonus CAS on Sunday

Welcome to a bonus edition on Sunday - playing along to the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #570. I did choose to flip the orientation to a landscape for my design.

My card uses the Christmas Tags & More DSP, Forever Plaid embossing folder and sentiment from the Greetings for You ephemera pack.

Christmas Tags & More

Welcome to a bonus edition on the blog

Wanting to play along with CAS on Friday anything but a card challenge #CAS319.

I chosen to use the Christmas & More Tags DSP and the Greetings for You ephemera sentiments to make some Christmas tags for upcoming Hostess gifts for the season.

I just love making pretty tags for the holidays for those special gifts you give to people.

Fun Fold Friday

Welcome to another edition of Fun Fold Friday where k push myself to create a card that’s not my standard go to A2 style.

Today I am playing with the Accordion Fun Fold featuring the Everyday Arches dies but you can do this fold with whatever shape card base you want! 

Assembly is very easy - just line up the bases to fit between each of the scored areas.

Today’s card design features my newest stamp set - Pine Tree Trimmings - a prize from my upline’s team meeting last weekend. Who doesn’t love a stamp set in exchange for creating 5 design samples for the team to use? That’s one of the things I love most about the papercrafting community - everyone is so generous and supportive of helping sure everyone has what they need to shine no matter their personal paper crafting goal! 

This set is very cute and the tree bases could totally be used past the holiday season with thinking of your or happy birthday sentiments!

This card fold fits a standard A2 envelope although depending on how you embellish it you might need extra postage as it can be a little thicker than a normal A2.

Throwback Thursday Tree Trimmmgs & Ornamental Keepsake

Welcome to another edition of Throwback Thursday where I challenge myself to pull out a favourite from my stash and show it some inky love! 

Today I was inspired by the challenge over at Stampin’ Up! Only challenges with their case the catalog and the Christmas Tags & More, Christmas Greetings mix and match specialty cards & envelopes as well the Greetins for You ephemera sentiments used in the sample.

For my Throwback theme I’ve added the retired Pine Boughs embossing folder, Tree Trimmings and Ornamental Keepsake stamp set and the colour palette from the DSP of Real Red, Soft Sea, Green Garden and Crumb Cake.

I cases the first 2 cards I basically copies directly although I cut the speciality card base in half to create two card fronts and than mounted on Whisper White card base.

For my other cards I played with my retired stamp sets to create coordinating cards with the themes from the Christmas Tags & More designer series paper! 

First one with the Ornamental Keepsake stamp and die bundle.

The second one is the Tree Trimmings sap set.

Can’t wait to play some more with this set - want to create a scrapbook layout and of course more quick holiday cards!

Wednesday WOW

Welcome to another Wednesday WOW card edition!

Playing along with Try A Sketch on Tuesday sketch challenge #TSOT680 and it’s sister challenge Double Trouble Thing 2 use 3-2-1 from stash so I have 3 colours of paper, 2 dies and 1 silver bakers twine ribbon! 

I’m playing with the Delicate Pines stamp set and retired Peaceful Boughs dies, Elegant Pine snowflake DSP and some rhinestone and silver bakers twine! 

Just love how it came together - so pretty I didn’t even remember it needed a sentiment on the front. Although I think that maybe the Pine Snowflake just says it all ❄️

Funky Folds meets Technique Tuesday

Welcome to another edition of the Funky Folds Blog Hop.

We are a group of like-minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky folds. Funky actually means "modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way"... so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think 'easel', 'pop-up', 'gatefold', ‘z-fold', 'shaped' or 3D cards etc. The list is endless.

All Blog Hops have an 'anything goes' theme using any type of 'funky' card and I've made a Peekaboo Bridge Card featuring the cute stamp set, Jars of Joy from Stampin’ Up!

Here are the measurements for the card - it’s a fairly quick and easy one to make!

Since this month’s Funky Fold blog falls on a Tuesday it was a bonus fun to do both a fun fold AND a technique today! 

A shout out to Color Throwdown for the colour palette inspiration, I chose Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green from Stampin’ Up! I have also played the Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc280 with a two lines for the win! Used Die cut, Orange, Fun fold, Red and Layers in my design.

I am playing with the Faux Tile technique as well. Another super simple that packs a WOW - you will need a bone folder and scoring board and ideally a brayer although you can use a sponge or blender brush just need to be very gentle so you don’t push ink into your grout lines.

Sharing a technique card I created for a previous class - I love being able to look through my 6x6 technique book I created for inspiration!

It’s a fun look with the faux tile behind the cookie jar to give the sitting on the kitchen counter vibe!

CASE-ing Tuesday Snowflake Kisses

Welcome to a bonus edition on Monday!

I wanted to play along with the CASE-ing Tuesday challenge #CTS532 casing the catalog page 55.

I’m playing with the Delicate Pines stamp, coordinating DSP and the Snowflake Kisses dies with Shaded Spruce ink and blends to colour my rhinestones. 

I created two using the double side of the Elegant Pine Snowflake DSP.
