Today’s card was inspired by playing along to a couple challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches #FMS747 I saw Bokeh circles when I first saw it and then stretched it into a slimline design for today.  

Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc298 top row Sparkle Ribbon Twine & Butterfly.

Color Dare Surprise to use your 3 favourite colours - Purple, Pink & Blue.

I’m getting inky with the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil bundle, Words of Beauty, Highland Heather, Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana inks, blending brushes, unbranded silver twine and rhinestones coloured with my Melon Mambo blender pen. 

Came together as a fun cheerful ‘it’s your birthday’ card. I love the shine in the silver foil on the butterfly - my photo does not do it justice at all.

Welcome to another edition of Slimline Sunday! Today’s card was loads of fun to put together.

My card design was inspired by playing along to a couple few challenges:

Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges has a fun sketch which I stretched into a slimline layout. #SUOC406 Loved the big bold scalloped focal point. 

Inspired By challenges has a fun Summer mood board with colour palette. I have chosen to play with  Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake with the big bold focal image of my sandy beach scene. 

Another round of Tic Tac Toe #tttc297 because it’s a fun game with lots of ways to win - down the middle summer theme, free is unique texture of sandpaper and lots of layers!  

I’m getting inky with Summer Happiness bundle, Sincerely Noted Mix & Match ephemera, Sunset Sparkle sequins, So Swirly Embossing folder and Spellbinders scallop circle dies from my stash. 

Had fun with the beach theme - adding sand paper adds a fun dimension and extra texture. Love the So Swirly embossing folder as it looks like waves or hot tub swirls!

I’m getting inky with an old favourite from my stash Number of Years and Sticked So Sweetly Dies paired with my new favorited Floral Spray 3D Folder, Artisan Sketched Garden DSP, Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger and Black Hybrid inks, Rhinestones coloured with Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger blends and unbranded Silver Metallic twine.

Stunning end design for a Happy 22nd Anniversary card for this years special day next month.

Getting inky with a sneak peek from the July Online Exclusive Festive Cheer bundle, Stitched Designs dies, Blackberry Bliss, Gorgeous Grape and Garden Green inks, Peaceful Pine Shimmer Blush, Metallic Gold ink and acrylic pen, Antique Pearls coloured with gold ink.

           

There is something cooling about creating Christmas cards in July especially when it’s been 40+ here 😜 The Festive Cheer bundle is going to be a fun addition to my Christmas collection.  I used the Shimmer Brush to add sparkle to the pine branch and ornaments and added splatters to the white space as well as so gold flecks.

Welcome to another edition to Slimline Sunday - today’s slimline is for the Happy Couples special day next weekend.

Today’s card design was inspired by playing along to the following challenges - shout out for the inspiration goes to:

CAS on Friday word prompt of birds #CASF336

Just Us Girls challenge floral mood board #JUG838

Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc295 for the top row for the win - floral, dry embossing, summer wedding. Almost got a middle line but I wanted a slimline style to fit the cash gifts nicely.

I’m getting inky with the new Floral Splash embossing folder, Stylish dies and from my stash we have Word Play, Bourque Motifs, Peaceful Moments stamp sets for my sentiments and flourish. For punches I used a circle punch and Bird Builder punch. Gold metallic ink and pen. Barely Blush, Vellum and Gold metallic papers.

This beauty will be for next weekends long awaited wedding for Alex & Suede - slimline is perfect for holding cash gifts. Tip for adhering the vellum is to use a sponge and apply a thin layer of liquid glue so that you don’t “see” any of the blobs once it’s dried. One of my birds I punched in Gold and embossed and the other I punched in white and stamped gold flourish. I used the gold metallic pen to flick some gold splatters over the vellum.

Double Troubles Twisted Sisters 1 masculine theme, 2 die cuts - I have chosen to use Scenic Coast and Spot Light on Nature dies, 3 strips of paper or washi tape. 

Try a Sketch on Tuesday sketch challenge #TSOT. I have stretched it to fit a slimline design.

Festive Friday Fathers Day #FFO211 I have chosen Masculine colours, textured metallic ribbon, patterned paper and a Fathers Day sentiment.

Sweet Stampin’ Something For the Boys challenge.

Time Out Challenge #TOC315 I have chosen a summer sunset by the water vacation vibe design.

I’m getting inky with the Scenic Coast stamps, dies, paper and sequins along with the Spotlight on Nature dies and Greeting for All ephemera pack along with Blueberry Bushel, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Strawberry Slush inks and blending brushes. 

Final design results using a blended sunset as my backdrop for my 4 strips of Scenix Coast paper and the focal image of the lighthouse doe and Spotlight on Nature die to form a portal frame. I cut out in Basic White and used the blender brush and a pecan pie blender pen to color the circle and lighthouse features. Add some metallic gold bakers twine and popped up the Fathers Day sentiment after blending it with leftover Blueberry Bushel so the white wasn’t so stark. Added 3 sequins to finish it off.

Welcome to another edition of slimline Sunday. Today I am creating a Retirement card for a lucky soul whose getting to stop living to work and instead start working at living their best life. 

 

Today’s card design was inspired by playing along with the Global Design Project Beach Theme. #GDP539 a perfect theme for a retirement card! 

The Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge  #673 which I stretched into a slimline design with the two tone background and used a strip of sandpaper to give texture vs the plaid in the sketch, I used a cluster of beach chairs, table with drink and a sun umbrella in place of the rectangle square. A banner sentiment and instead of 3 gems I have drawn 3 seagulls. 

I’m getting inky with old favourites Colorful Seasons beach chair die, Teeny Tiny Wishes Happy Retirement sentiment, Umbrella build punch, Boat builder punch paired with the So swirly embossing folder, Triple banner punch,  2 tone Pool Party paper and Melon Mambo ink. I’ve also used a piece of sand paper for my beach strip to give an extra sensory beach feel to the card.

The So Swirly embossing folder is just perfect for creating beach vibes especially when paired with the two tone paper where you can sand the paper to reveal the white core to create your “foam”. All the elements came together to create a Happy Retirement card.

Today’s design was inspired by Colour INKSpiration #CI205 Berry Blast, Granny Apple Green and Basic Grey, Freshly Made Sketches sketch #FMS727 which I stretched into a Slimline design, Just Us Girls Emboss prompt #JUG814 Embossed Brick embossing folder and the Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc288 right side line Splatters of Wink of Stella on my brick wall, Everyday Arches and Natures Symphony Dies and Berry Blast Pearl Embellishments.  

Getting inky with the March Product of the Month Notes of Spring stamp set, Natures Symphony dies, Everyday Arches dies, Triple Banner punch, Exposed Brick embossing folder, Wink of Stella, vellum, Berry Blast, Granny Apple Green and Basic Grey ink, Berry Blast and Grey blends and pearls. 

Love how it all came together with the little deer nestled into the greenery. Pops of pink pearls and the texture in the exposed brick embossing and added dimensions that brayering over the brick with the gray. The arches give cave entrance vibes. A great card for nature loving man in your life!
