Slimline Sunday

My design was inspired by playing along to a few challenges: The Card Concept  #tcc229 mood board & colour palette of yellow, green, black and white. 

Sweet Stampin’ has an Autumn prompt and nothing says autumn like a field of sunflowers!

Getting inky with Sunflower Fields DSP with sticker sheet, Christmas Mice bundle, Soiree Salutations stamp set, Glimmer pen in Golden Rod, Moody Palette gems and blends to colour my mouse. 

Perfect Grateful for You card for a sunflower lover - 🌻 Have I mentioned how much I love the little mice - they can hold so many different things which makes them so much more than Christmas Mice 🐭

I’m getting inky with the Christmas Mice bundle, Nested Essentials dies, retired Acorny Acorn bundle, Forever Plaid embossing folder, Glow of Harvest DSP, Earthen Tone metallic paper, metallic gems, Neutrals Jute,  Early Espresso ink, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink blends.

Adorable final design - I just love these little mice and while intended as a Christmas bundle combined with other favourite from the stash will make them be great for so many more occasions!

Technique Tuesday - Fault Line

Welcome to another edition of Technique Tuesday here on the blog. Today I am playing with the Fault Line technique - a fun design with lots of texture. 

Today design was inspired by playing along to TGIF challenges mood board of the warm yellow fall floral vibes #tgif591.

I’m getting inky with the Fun for Fall stamp set and the August POM Glow of Harvest 

Glow of Harvest DSP 

Measurements 

• Card base 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” score at 4 1/4”
• Mat layer 5 1/4” x 4”
• Insert 5 1/4” x 4”
• DSP layer 3 7/8” x 3 7/8”
• Light Cardstock layer 3 7/8” x 2 3/4” - stamp sentiment in lower right corner and add any background stamps desired 
• Dark Cardstock Layer 3 7/8” x 2 3/4”
• Focal image as desired 

Process Steps:

1. Fold card base and add dark mat to front of card and insert inside. 
2. Adhere the DSP layer centred on the front mat.
3. Layer the light and dark cardstock on top of each other with the light on top - do not adhere yet.  Starting on the left side closer to the top gently rip in half going down at an angle stopping just a top of the stamped sentiment. 
4. Once torn glue the two top layers together with the dark cardstock matted slight off to create the fault line layer and repeat with the bottom layer. 
5. Adhere the top and bottom torn pieces onto the card centred at the top and bottom of the DSP layer so it becomes the peek out between the two fault lines. 
6. Add your focal image and any embellishments to finish your design.

Love the effect of the fault line design technique - adds a unique texture & dimension with the little scarecrow bracing himself  between the opening fault with blowing leaves surrounding him. Fun little ‘Hope your day is wonderful’ card for a Fall birthday or just because or thank you card.

Getting inky with an old favourite this time of year - Fall Fest paired with Greetings for All ephemera, antique pearls and unbranded gold twine. 

Final design a cute little pumpkin to wish someone a Happy Halloween this upcoming season.
