Masculine Vibes on Monday

Welcome to another edition of Masculine Vibes on Monday. 

Today’s card design was inspired by playing along to a few challenges. 

Inspired By … Cookies #IB395. I was inspired by both the colour palette, choosing Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Crumb Cake, as well as the nautical theme of the cookies. 

Over at Tic Tac Toe challenges #tttc296 I went for the middle line using a plaid embossing folder, due cut sentiment and matting a border around the design. 

Over at Just Us Girls a challenge to pull out an old favourite die - I pulled out the Sunshine Sayings stamp & coordinating die bundle. 

Getting inky with old favourites long retired By the Tide stamp set, Sunshine Sayings stamps & coordinating die bundle, Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder, Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Crumb Cake ink pads with some Antique Pearls coloured with Lost Lagoon.  

Fun summer “sending sunshine and hugs” vibes design for someone special - my plaid embossing doesn’t show well on the photo against the collage of stamping but it does add some lovely texture in real life.

Masculine Mojo on Monday!

Welcome to another edition of Masculine Mojo on Monday. Today I am playing along with a couple challenges to shape my final design.

Playing with Inspired By #IB373 and for choosing my hot chocolate cup dies and incorporating two focal images in my design from their sketch. 

Over at Festive Fridays #FF0202 Valentine’s Day inspo list I have chosen to  add pink, used die cuts, added a love sentiment, hearts and arrows in my design.

Getting inky with the Sweet Jars stamp set, the Hearts of Love 3D embossing folder, Made with Love DSP, Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink gems, Poppy Parade and Flirty Flamingo ink and from my stash Coffee Cups dies.

It all came together for an adorable “sending a little love your way” paper hug!

I’m getting inky with the Love Story DSP and stickers, Hearts of Love embossing folder and Strawberry Slush & Pretty Pink gems. I’ve paired with the retired Be Mine Stitched dies. 

It’s been a while since I have done two traditional layouts vs a traditional paired with a pocket page but am loving it - still able to fit in lots of photos with the two 3.75x 5.75 photos on the left and than four 3x3 photos on the right.

Welcome to another edition of Scappy Saturday a chance to catch up on my memory keeping.

Today’s Happy Birthday layout is inspired by the Sketch N Scraps monthly challenge for January.

I’m playing with the Woolly Friends bundle, A la Mode Alphabet dies, Decembers Product of the Month True Blue Floral DSP and some retired circle and scallop circle dies, balloon builder punch, and the retired Perfectly Penned sentiment stamp set and embellishments from my stash.

12x12 layout turned out lovely - the one large focal photo will be for my granddaughter blowing out the candle photo. 

Seriously though how cute are these Ewe’s? I stamped on watercolour paper as it offers some woolly texture perfect for these adorable sheep! 

Coordinating Pocket Page features four 4”x6” candid photo options from her birthday party and four 4”x3” decor accent options for balloons and more cute Ewes frolicking in the field and the cute punny “You are fab-ewe-lous” sentiment cause she is definitely fabulous! 🥰

Over at Festive Friday National Candy Cane Day #FF0199 word prompts I am incorporating Red, White, Green, Sequins and Christmas Sentiment 

I’m getting inky with the Traditions of Christmas DSP and sequins, Greeting for You ephemera and retired Winter 3D embossing folder, Bird Builder punch, 2 1/2” circle punch and gold twine.  

Final design is so cute - I used the Coastal Cabana maker to incorporate that colour into the plaid paper from the Traditions of Christmas DSP punched with the 2 1/2” circle and the gold twine circled around it formed a little “nest” for the Cardinal for this “Seasons Greetings.”

Faux Flocking Technique

Welcome to another edition of Technique Tuesday. Today I am going to be sharing an oldie but a goodie “Faux Flocking”. 

I’m getting inky with some sneak peeks from the upcoming January-April 2026 mini catalog you can see the products in my unboxing video below. The Woolly Friends bundle is SO much fun … I’ve paired it with the Summer Splash 12x12 DSP from the January Online Exclusive. 

DETAILS

- 12 sheets: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs

- Acid and lignin free (this product is photo-safe)

- Includes gold and iridescent foil

- Colours: Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, Bubble Bath, Daffodil Delight, gold, Highland Heather, iridescent, Lemon Lolly, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink, Shy Shamrock, Timid Tiger

The sneak peeks of the Lovely Stripes Embossing folder - think this one’s going to be a hot one like the mini corrugated folder from the summer. The All In A Row Embossing folder is just too adorable. I love the stripes, dots and floral combo. 

Also using the Everyday Arches dies, Triple Banner punch, Frosted Iridescent dots and Balmy Blue ink and marker.

 

Faux Flocking Tutorial 

You will need:

• Cheese Grater
• Scrap paper in colour of choice. I am using basic black and whisper white
• Container to hold your flocking 

It’s really easy to make. You basically take your scrap paper and fold it up into a square and than using the medium side of grater you go to town and grate the paper until you have the desired amount of flocking for your project. Easy peasy lemon squeezie! 

But how stinking cute are these little Ewes? I couldn’t resist giving them the wobbler head. 

Baa Baa White sheep how pretty is your wool? See why I felt that this technique was just perfect for this stamp and bundle set? So many colours of wool!
