Masculine Monday Vibes

Welcome to another edition of masculine Monday vibes. Today’s All Geared Up to Celebrate card design was inspired by playing along with a couple challenges.

The Global Design Project #GDP534 is a fun sketch just calling out to use the Everyday Arch dies.
The Card Concept Inspiration board & colour palette #224 I am playing with Garden Green, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.

I’m getting inky with the Natures Walk 12x12 DSP, Everyday Arches dies, Triple Banner punch, retired Geared Up Garage stamp set and dies, Holographic gems, Garden Green and gold metallic ink.

Love the Natures Walk DSP it’s a gorgeous palette for masculine vibe cards!
Colours in the paper designs are shades of: Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Cloud Cover, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Pretty Peacock, Secret Sea

Love how the final design came together. I had an extra fun fold card base to use up from last week’s Fun Fold Friday. I have cut the gears in gold foil as well as Garden Green and then used the direct to paper ink in the gold metallic ink to give it a patina vibe. I created a custom DSP to mount the gears by using the oil spill stamp in repeated stamping off in green garden to give various shades. I then added in some gold splotches as well. I stamped the sentiment in metallic Gold ink and used the banner punch.

The fun fold is a unique one and love that it still stands for displaying on the mantle, desk or shelf.

Magical Monday Vibes

Happy Magical Monday! Today’s card design was inspired by playing along with a few challenges.

Colour palette was inspired by the Global Design Project #GDP525 - a gorgeous colour combo!
I Chose to pull out the retired Kindest Gnomes stamps & dies in my stash thanks to the Inspired By challenge #IB365

Try a Sketch on Tuesday had a fun layout to play with #TSOT684. Their sister site has a Double Trouble challenge of 3 colours and I am using Highland Heather, Cloud Cover and Lost Lagoon, 2 layers and 1 image which is my Gnomes. Twisted Sister challenge of adding in some silver twine.

Getting inky with the retired Kindest Gnomes, Encircled In Nature dies, Evergreen Embossing folder, Greetings for All ephemera sentiments, Wink of Stella, Silver twine and Rhinestones.

Came together as a cute little “Best Wishes” card for a special someone’s birthday or other celebration.

Slimline Sunday

Welcome to another edition of Slimline Sunday!

I’m playing with the Christmas Tags & More DSP, Christmas greetings Mix & Match Specialty cards & envelopes, Greetings for You ephemera, Traditional Christmas sequins and the new online exclusive triple banner punch.

It turned out adorable - the plaid just gives me such warm holiday memory vibes! I’ve used one of the Mix & Match specialty cards & envelopes for my background layer. Added a gold foil banner using the triple banner punch. Made a collage using the circle punches to layer gold foil and white circles under the bell from the Christmas Tags & More DSP ephemera with some of the Holly leaves. I used my Cherry Cobbler blender pen to colour some of the white holly berries to have some more pops of red on my design. Added some gold twine and red sequins dots for added bling!

While I had the materials out took a little extra time to keep playing and made a couple extra cards as the ladies at work are eagerly wanting some Christmas cards donated to our the Everyday Dreams fundraiser so they can make another donation and get some Christmas cards as a thank you. Love knowing that the cards will do double duty of making not only the receivers of the cards happy but are helping to raise funds for help those we support have some of their everyday dreams come true.

I need a card for this afternoons Stamp2Cr8 team meeting and this old Gloval Design Project is the inspiration we were given to be inspired by:

Quick and easy no stamping required designs but that still pack a punch of WOW 🤩 love the 3D Forever Plaid embossing folder for holiday cards as it gives me Christmas plaid vibes!

Fussy cutting can be so therapeutic - focuses the mind on the task and helps quiet unwanted thoughts. I’ve made a bonus card today playing along with Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc283 for left line win of ornament, red, Christmas sentiment.

I fussy cut this design and mounted on the 3D exposed brick embossing folder.

Fancy Fold Fridays

Welcome to another edition of Fancy Fold Friday - I was introduced to today’s Pull Out & Pop Up fun fold by a team member, Katie Clark, during our monthly Stamp2Cr8 team get together and just had to give it a try!

Im also playing along with Global Design Project #GDP520 Case the Designer. I am using the new Friendly Foliage bundle as my focal in my design as I don’t have the Top Note set the designer used.

Also playing along with Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc282 - with the top row of leaves, enamel sequins dots and Fun Fold.

A huge shout out to Lisa Curcio for the wonderful tutorial and measurements! She did it so well there is no point in me trying to recreate the wheel so will share it here!

I chose to play with my new preorder of Stampin’ Up! goodies for upcoming Novembers Online exclusives the Friendly Foliage stamp and coordinating dies. I paired with the Traditions of Christmas DSP and Greetings for You ephemera sentiments to create a Christmas card.

I love the new Friendly Foliage bundle knew I had to have it when I saw it on the preorder sneak peek - the final product is just so pretty - lots of texture between the specially DSP paired with the stamped gold embossed image, I used the foliage die cuts in old olive and gold foil and some gold twine and Traditional Sparkling sequins. Love that it’s so versatile for Christmas and will be good for so many other occasions!

Starts out flat to fit in the envelope:

Pull gently:

Pull as it lifts up to pop up

Fully popped - area to write a message and sign your card:

It’s such a fun pop up and surprising easy once you get going! I think next I am going to try a kids birthday card with it and maybe a wobbler on the pop up panel if it won’t be too thick to slide in and out.

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend here in Canada! 🇨🇦  Love a long weekend because it means an extra day on the craftroom and more chances to play with challenges!

Today’s card design was inspired by playing along with the CASE-ing Tuesday challenge #553 for my layout.

Global Design Projects colour palette #GDP517  of Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Secret Sea … a stunning combo!

And over at Tic Tac Toe challenge blog I got a diagonal line of Wreath, Free I chose embossing folder and a matching envelope for the win for #tttc281

I have incorporated the Joyful Days Memories and More DSP package with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing folder and sentiment from Pine Tree Trimmings stamp set.

The final design is a full little Christmas card in under 10 minutes!

Getting Inspired for Spring

I always find online sketch challenges a great inspiration and recently came across a new one thanks to Anne Granger a Stampin' Up! Mentor I follow who shared one of her challenge submissions!

So this week I am playing along over at Global Design Project with the following sketch challenge as I needed to create a 'spring themed' card and was looking for inspiration and this sketch provided just the jumping point.

This is my card I created based on the sketch inspiration - I swapped out the orientation because it worked better with the frame I wanted to use.

Featuring the Stampin' Up! Floral Frames clear mount bundle  - I just love this stamp set bundle it is perfect for both card making and scrapbook layouts - I cannot wait to do a layout and use the wreath for photo frame focal point and than all the flower embellishments and the label will make a great spot to journal.

Floral Frames Clear Mount Bundle
I applied Lemon Lime Twist ink direct to the embossing folder before running though the Big Shot. It is easy to wash your folder with a gentle soap and water to remove any ink transfer in next project so do not be afraid to use color with your folders - adds a whole new twist to them!

The stamped image from the Floral frames was colored using the 2017-2019 In Color Stamp Write Markers Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist and the Brights Rich Razzleberry to highlight

The ribbon is the Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon - I just love the texture that this ribbon offers to a project. So very soft!

Had so much fun playing along and look forward to playing along again in future! Head on over to the Global Design Project gallery to see how other's interpreted this lovely sketch!

Happy Crafting
