Making Memories on Monday

Welcome to another addition of Making Memories on a Monday! Feels so great to be scrapbooking again.

Today’s layout was inspired by a
Scrap a Sketch layout from over on Facebook. If you’re looking for inspiration they have some really fun designs to get you started!

They also have the additional word prompt challenge to choose at least 5 from the list - I have 2 photos, fussy cutting, ink, flowers, punches, glitter paper and acrylic embellishments.

I’m playing with a combination of current and retired products from Stampin’ Up! The Peaceful Garden suite DSP and dies, the Alphabet A La Mode dies, the Sunflower 3D embossing folder and Cloud Cover and White Craft ink. I pulled out my retired border punches for adding some dimension to the layout.

I am typically a double page scrapbooker. I like to do one page traditional and the second page using pocket pages.

I used the sketch inspiration pretty closely. I chose to pair the Sunflower embossing folder pulling out from the floral DSP accents. I embossed on Cloud Cover cardstock and did the direct ink drag with Whisper White craft ink to highlight the raised texture and then I fussy cut out a few of the sunflowers to use as embellishments. The doves and greenery from the Peaceful Garden dies paired well with the sunflowers. I used the Alphabet A la Mode dies to cut out the HAPPY and then used the Day die from the retired Word Wishes dies to complete my title and added a few star embellishments from my Peaceful Garden Suite.

The pocket page is a combination of the sunflowers and DSP with the doves in the 3x4 pockets as well as one for journaling. I have whisper white placeholders in the 6x4 pockets for my photos.

So pretty! This layout will honour some photos of our beautiful granddaughter.

Happy Stampin’
