Welcome to another edition of Technique Tuesday. Today I am exploring the packing tape trick for quick shiny accents. When I got my Capturing Smiles bundle I thought this technique would be perfect to try it out on.
In addition to the Captured Smiles bundle I’m getting inky with the Greetings for All ephemera pack, an extra card mat from the Alcohol Ink background a couple weeks ago.
Measurements & Materials: Packing tape - does not need to be on the tape runner just a roll will do.
The technique is so simple - basically apply the tape to the card stock you want to be shiny and then cut it out with a die or by hand if it’s a fussy cut image.
Video picks up the shine way better.
I just love how quick and easy this hack is - no waiting for glossy accents to dry, no messing with melting repeated layers of clear embossing powder for the glassy effects.
