Scrappy Saturday

Welcome to another edition of Scrappy Saturday here on the blog.

Today’s double layout was inspired by a couple layout sketches I found on Pinterest. I altered the second layout orientation and opted for 1 large photo mats instead of 4 smaller. 

I’m getting inky with the Fun for Fall bundle, Sunflower Fields DSP & Sticker sheet, Sunflower 3D embossing folder, Cajun Craze two tone paper, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight & Old Olive blends and unbranded bronze twine. 

Double layout view - the diagonal cut DSP along with coordinated colour palette and elements blends the two layouts together. I created a little DIY design paper for my layout based with the triple leaves stamp from the Fun for Fall bundle. 

Left layout features 3 small photo mats and love all the elements from the Fun for Fall bundle they are perfect accents for a day at the Pumpkin patch & Corn Maze with the granddaughter. 

Right layout has a large photo mat to showcase a family photo from the Sunflower field visit.

Welcome - it’s been a while since we’ve had a Scrappy Saturday here on the blog.

Today I am playing along to a couple challenges over at Lasting Memories Layout challenges to get the MOJO going again. 

#LM811 - Favourite Brand no secret that mine is Stampin’ Up! Using a card making kit with an alternative use for scrapbook layouts.

#LM812 Embellishments … loving the bling - the In Color butterflies are a perfect pairing for this project.

Getting inky with the Gilded Gallery card kit using it as an alternative to create a double scrapbook layout with the supplies from two of the card designs. I’ve paired it with Nature’s Symphony bundle, Butterfly Flight Hot foil, Sincerely Noted ephemera. 

Left side layout - 5x7 photo with some gold embossing, purple textures lines and leaves and butterflies.  

Right side layout three 3”x4” photos carrying over the gold embossing, purple texture lines and leaves and butterflies.

Sketchy Saturday

Welcome to another edition of Sketchy Saturday. Today I am sharing a 12x12 traditional double layout inspired by playing along with a couple challenges. 

Left hand sketch inspiration is from Sketches in Thyme challenge #703 from Rochelle Spears. 

Right hand sketch is inspiration from Stick It Down Scrapbook & Cardmaking April Sketch.  

Getting inky with the sneak peek of the Scenic Coast suite coming May and Splashes of Sparkle DSP, Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry and Timid Tiger inks and paired them with some old favourites in the Unforgettable Times Mix and Match ephemera pack, On Film and Colourful Seasons dies, umbrella builder and scallop tag punch, sunset and brick stencils, silver twine and silver metallic marker.

Love the end result that came together for a fun coordinated double layout from a day at the beach. 

Left hand page showcases several the gorgeous dies and paper in the Scenic Coast suite and the wee camera and Polaroid frame from the On Film dies. Unforgettable title is from the Ephemera pack sponged with a bit of Timid Tiger to blend with the paper.

Right hand page carries over some of the Scenic Coast suite with the seagulls and the Colourful Seasons beach chairs, table and drinks, umbrella builder for the umbrellas and Time Together title is from the ephemera pack sponged with Timid Tiger.

Scrappy Saturday Fun

Welcome to another edition of Scrappy Saturday I spent the morning having fun creating a double layout using some sketchy inspiration!

Scrapbooking Global March challenge to use masculine materials with a feminine vibe. 

Sketches in Thyme for my left side layout - love the 5 photo layout #701 by Brandi Jo. 

Scrap a Sketch #202 for my right side layout - love the circle photo mat. 

I’m getting inky with some old favourites paired with new goodies. I’ve pulled out my Country Living and Geared Up Garage stamp sets for my masculine element. The Modern Mosaic embossing folder, nesting circles, a label punch and unbranded twine. Paired with the new Capturing Smiles, Painted Illusions DSP from February POM, metallic silver specialty paper, Unforgettable Times Mix and Match ephemera and  coordinating blends to colour with Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, Darling Duckling, Smokey Slate and Crumb Cake 

. 

Game together as a lovely double layout to showcase some fun photos from attending a Country Farm fair. 

Some close up views to help show the texture and dimensions in the design combo.

Scrappy Saturday fun

Welcome to another edition of Scrappy Saturday. Working a traditional 12x12 layout today. 

Today’s 12x12 layout was inspired by Sketches in Thyme March 8th sketch layout. I have rotated the orientation of the sketch as worked better with my left hand design I was trying to coordinate with. 

I’m getting inky with some old and new favourites. From my retired stash the Beautiful Bunch stamp set and coordinated punches, the Large Letter dies. I have paired with the current Lovely Blossoms DSP and In Color Secret Sea and the Petal Pink from Subtle collection and some Pearl gem coloured with Secret Sea blends marker.

Today’s “Spring” layout is a right side design to go with last week’s “Hello” layout. Has a mat for a large 8x10 photo of the granddaughter exploring the garden or can do a collage of smaller photos. I still haven’t decided. 

Double page design coordinates pretty well I think!

Welcome to another edition of Scrappy Saturday! Today I am sharing a 12x12 layout.

My design was inspired by playing along with the Sketches in Thyme challenge sketch #699.

I’m playing with the Lovely Blossoms DSP which features the colour palette of Colours: Cloud Cover, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Secret Sea and a retired Large Letters Dies. Some unbranded gold twine and pearls coloured with my alcohol markers to match the Secret Sea.

I LOVE this paper pack. The designs are gorgeous and so all the heavy lifting! I fussy cut some of the flowers out of the paper to create my three clusters. Added a HELLO sentiment and added some twine behind the one cluster and some pearl dots scattered.

I’m getting inky with the Cutest Crew bundle, Painted Illusions 12x12 DSP, Alphabet À la Mode dies, retired Swirly Birds dies, Sunshine Sayings Dies, rhinestones and unbranded Silver Twine.

Final Smiles for Kitty is the perfect layout for photos of our granddaughter playing with the girls. 

Paired nicely with last week’s layout for a double layout.

Welcome to another edition of Scrappy Saturday. I am sharing a single 12x12 layout today. 

Today layout was inspired by playing along with sketch #697 by Janessa Franco over in the Sketches in Thyme group on Facebook.

I’m getting inky with some sneak peek online exclusive items coming  in March; the Capturing Smiles bundle and the Cutest Crew bundle along with February’s Product of the month Paper Illusions 12x12 DSP with the gorgeous Colour palette of : Darling Duckling, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink, Pretty Peacock, Triple banner punch and from my stash nesting circle dies and a mini postage punch, rhinestones and unbranded silver twine. 

 

Is it so pretty? A fun palette for upcoming projects like Easter and St Patrick’s Day! 

Final results turned out cute with an 4x6 and two 3x4 photo mats which will showcase photos of the granddaughter playing with our 3 furry babies!

Welcome to another edition of Scrappy Saturday. 

Today’s double layout design was inspired by playing along with the following challenges:

Sketches in Thyme for the lovely circle vibes!

Scrap a Sketch for sketch #191 - just loved the large circles and focal photo. 

I’m getting inky with the Slashes of Sparkles DSP, Silver Metallic paper, Balmy Blue, Pretty in Pink inks, blending brushes, Beautiful Butterflies bundle, Spotlight on Nature dies, retired nesting circles dies, chevron boarder punch and silver twine. 

Splashes of Sparkles DSP is so pretty! The colour palette gives happy vibes: Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, Bubble Bath, Daffodil Delight, gold, Highland Heather, iridescent, Lemon Lolly, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink, Shy Shamrock, Timid Tiger

Together the two layout challenges come together as a lovey Double layout.

Left layout I used blending brushes and Balmy Blue and Pretty in Pink on Whisper White 12x12 to mimic the Splashes of Sparkles DSP on my right die page, I also used a Tim Holtz Splatter stencil with the Balmy Blue and silver metallic ink to create a coordinated design to the right hand layout. It features 4 circle photo mats created with the Spotlight on Nature dies and a focal image created with Beautiful Butterflies bundle dies and scrap of the DSP. A Chevron punched border in the metallic silver paper. 3 Pink ribbon flowers as embellishments.

Right layout features a 12x12 sheet from the Splashes of Sparkles DSP,  banner cluster with the Time to Celebrate sentiment on top, a single 5x7 photo, two butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies bundle and some silver twine, pink ribbon flowers and chevron cut pits to embellish.
