Happy Graduation

Welcome! So happy you are here to share a fun card with you  - it’s graduation season and I love making cards for people who are heading into the new adventure of adulthood!

Today’s card design was inspired by playing along with a couple of challenges

Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge #AHSC686 I flipped mine to landscape.

Addicted to CAS word challenge of frame - I framed my sentiment with the Everyday Arches die.

Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc294 for a double row of graduation, gold/black, vellum, patterned paper, gems.

Getting inky with the Artisan Sketched Garden DSP, Everyday Arches dies, Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder, Beautifully Adorned ephemera, Greetings for All Mix & Match ephemera, Barely Blush and Peaceful Pine blends,  Antique Pearls and Gold Acrylic pen.

A pretty little congratulations for the grad card. I love the Gold and Black pops against the soft Barely Blush pink. I used the blender pen for the pearls. Used the gold acrylic pen and blender pens to splatter specks of gold, pink and green.

Reflection / Mirror Technique Tuesday

Welcome to another edition of Technique Tuesday - I am playing with the reflection or mirror Stampin’ technique. Great way to double your stamp images!

Card design was inspired by playing along to a few challenges.

Color Dare Challenge #697 to use yellow plus one other colour. I have chosen Secret Sea.

The Paper Players to create a spring project #PP780 - using spring inspired DSP and the deer from the Notes of Spring stamp set.

Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc289 diagonal spring, punch and coordinating envelope for a win.

Sweet Stampin’ Spring using spring inspired DSP and Note of Spring stamp set

Inspire.Create has a spring challenge as well. #213

Getting inky with the Notes of Spring stamp set from March POM, Heartfelt Hexagon punch and the DSP from the Advent Calendar set still available on last chance list.

Easy technique that packs a wow!

Quick Process video

Love how it turned out! Perfect for someone celebrating a spring birthday!

Technique Tuesday - Aperture Technique

Welcome to another edition of Technique Tuesday. Today technique is a quick and easy thrifty reminder in making use of your die cuts by creating an Aperture design with them.

An Aperture is basically a whole, gap or opening. So in the crafting it’s great use doe the leftover piece from cutting a die shape out of your paper. I have left my aperture blank in my designs as I wanted the pop of white against the busy DSP pattern but you can stamp images, add blended colour, have a peek a boo figure popped up depending on the size of your aperture!

I’m playing along with a couple challenges. The fresh spring greenery colour palette from Colourful Options. Another round of Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc228 for my one card with splatters of white, Natures Symphony die elements and brass embellishments because well bling is a must.

I’m getting inky with Natures Symphony suite with the dies, DSP and Brass embellishments. I have used Notes of Spring POM for March on my one card design with the adorable deer along with the Triple Banner punch for the sentiment and unbranded gold twine. I have added a Greetings for All ephemera Missing You sentiment & Stone & Vine embossing folder, and a white acrylic pen for the splatter and faux stitches on my other design. Finally the Spotlight on Nature circle die for the one cards sentiment.

The thrifty element I love in this technique is both in making use of your leftover scrap  but all also saving time with two cards and only one cut. Makes for two quick and easy card designs. Love the spring vibes from the green palette.

I just love the Notes of Spring animals - the adorable deer is perfect for my deer loving other half’s upcoming birthday!

I had so much fun I ended up making two more cards 😜 Two different design vibes from the same die cut.

Slimline Sunday

Welcome to another edition of Slimline Sunday.

Today’s design was inspired by Colour INKSpiration #CI205 Berry Blast, Granny Apple Green and Basic Grey, Freshly Made Sketches sketch #FMS727 which I stretched into a Slimline design, Just Us Girls Emboss prompt #JUG814 Embossed Brick embossing folder and the Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc288 right side line Splatters of Wink of Stella on my brick wall, Everyday Arches and Natures Symphony Dies and Berry Blast Pearl Embellishments.

Getting inky with the March Product of the Month Notes of Spring stamp set, Natures Symphony dies, Everyday Arches dies, Triple Banner punch, Exposed Brick embossing folder, Wink of Stella, vellum, Berry Blast, Granny Apple Green and Basic Grey ink, Berry Blast and Grey blends and pearls.

Love how it all came together with the little deer nestled into the greenery. Pops of pink pearls and the texture in the exposed brick embossing and added dimensions that brayering over the brick with the gray. The arches give cave entrance vibes. A great card for nature loving man in your life!

Whimsical Wings & Things

Welcome to another edition of Whimsical Wings & Things Wednesday.

Today’s card was inspired by playing along with a couple challenges. Having a second go at the As You See It speed challenge with purple floral vibes. #AYSI367

I’m getting inky with the Sunflower 3D embossing folder, the Greetings for All ephemera pack, pearl enamel dots coloured with gorgeous grape blends, white ribbon and the retired dragonfly punch.

A quick under 10 minutes Sending Hugs card with stunning impact.

Monday Masculine Vibes

Welcome to another Monday Masculine Vibes - they say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and my other half is definitely an ice cream lover!

Today’s card design came together playing with a few fun card challenges.  Over at As You See It they have a colour challenge mood board - I was inspired by the purple! #AYSI367

The Inspired By blog challenge Sweet Caterpillar mood board #IB377 and the accompanying sketch.

Playing another round of Tic Tac Toe with their challenge board #tttc287. I have used the top row circles, pastel and embossing.

Over at Time Out Challenges photo inspiration with the stripes and polka dots. #TOC307

I’m getting inky with a retired Saleabration set Homeycomb Happiness and paired it with the Dotted Circles & Lovely Stripes embossing folders, Gorgeous Grape ink and blends, Pecan Pie blends and some pearl bling.

Final “You’re so Sweet” design. I did the direct to paper ink drag across the embossed papers. For my sentiment I used the masking tape trick to create a straight line sentiment vs the stacked style. I used my Gorgeous Grape blends to colour the pearls to match the card.

I think this would make a wonderful thank you card or birthday card with a gift certificate to an ice cream shop inside!

Slimline Sunday

Welcome to another edition of Slimline Sunday. I love the extra design space a slimline design offers.

Today card design came together through playing along with a few fun challenges.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge #670 - I have stretched the inspiration to fit a slimline design.

TGIF Challenges to think outside the box when using a kit and to make it your own. #ttgfc566

Tic Tac Toe challenges #tttc287 I have played the middle row by layering elements, a you’re on my mind encouragement sentiment and using enamel dots. The right line by using the embossing folder, the enamel dots and framing my mat layers.

I’m getting inky with Beautiful Botanicals card kit, Words of Beauty stamp set, Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder, 2” and 2 1/4” circle punches and tag topper punch, Secret Sea ink, Moody Palette enamel dots and unbranded gold twine.

Created one of each as is designs before moving on to my alternative design.

Love how all the elements have come together for this slimline card - the colour palette with the pops of gold. I deconstructed one of the envelopes to showcase the gold stripes for my tag. Combined the florals and the green vine for my focal image around my sentiment. 🫶🏼
