Scrappy Saturday

Welcome to another edition of Scrappy Saturday!

Today’s layout was inspired by Sketches in Thyme over on Facebook

I’m getting inky with the Fragrant Layers bundle, December’s POM True Blue Florals DSP, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy blends, Alphabet Ă€ la Mode dies and retired Little Letters dies and pearls.

Traditional 12x12 layout - this sketch was a lovely way to showcase all the DSP patterns in the True Blue Florals. I opted to keep my floral images neutral in white to help them pop and compliment the paper. Space for a 4x6 photo and a 3x4 photo.

Coordinating Pocket Page has space for 3 more 4x6 photos and then showcasing some more of the pretty papers using up some of my scraps from my traditional layout. I stamped and fussy cut the large floral focal image from the Fragrant Layers along with some of the small flower dies to embellish the 4x3 pockets.

This ‘good times’ layout will be perfect to showcase some outdoor adventures with our granddaughter.

Leaning towards doing black and white photos for it. What do you think?

Memories & More On Monday

Welcome to another edition of Memories & More Monday scrapbook layouts share!

Today’s 12x12 layout is inspired by Sketch N Scraps November layout. A fun 3 photo sketch. You can also find them on Facebook as well if that’s your social preference.

Im playing along with a combo of current and retired goodies from my stash. Current product is the Elegant Pine Snowflakes stamp set and DSP, Greetings for You ephemera and Traditional Sparkling Sequins dots. From my retired stash Peaceful Boughs dies, Frosted Foliage dies, More Wishes stamp set, gold twine and Cherry Cobbler Stickles.

12 x12 design layout I stuck pretty close using the sketch although I took the liberty of swapping out journaling space for another snowflake embellishment.

I love the ripped edges for added texture and the combination of the Elegant Pine Snowflakes stamps, which I fussy cut out,  paired with the Peaceful Boughs and Frosted Foliage dies for my embellishments.

I love the big sentiments from the retried More Wishes stamp sets when I saw it on the last chance list I thought it was perfect for both scrapbooking and cards so add to cart it went!

My coordinating Packet page uses the Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP which I fussy cut out the snowflakes from scraps so that none of the pretty paper went to waste! I have added sentiments from the Greetings for You ephemera “Tis the Season” “Joy” and “from our house to yours” to each 4x4 pocket and matted the 4x6 pockets with Cherry Cobbler card stock. Added some bling with the gorgeous Traditional Sparkling Sequins dots.

Making Memories & More on Monday

Welcome to another edition of Making Memories on Monday.

Today I am finishing up a layout from the Inspire Create Connect event I attended over the weekend that featured products from the Traditions of Christmas suite.

I wanted to do it at home because the make n take was using one of the DSP sheets from the Traditions of Christmas DSP as the base and it was just too pretty on the other side to hide it behind a layout so I opted to use a Secret Sea two toned 12x12 instead at home. I stamped it with the Lasting Linen background stamp that is coming to the online exclusive in November with Versamark to give the texture of the DSP in the sample.  I also made my own Christmas word collage for the background layer stamping in Secret Sea.

Layout design not only showcases the Traditions of Christmas DSP but also the Greetings for You ephemera, the sentiment’s and dies from Traditional Labels bundle and the Traditional Sparkling sequins embellishments for the extra bling!

For my coordinating pocket page I carried over the florals from the Traditions of Christmas DSP by fussy cutting them from the DSP as well as the Irresistible Designs DSP.

A hidden gem in the annual catalog. What is so special about the Irresistible Designs 12" x 12" DSP is that it has UV-coated patterns that resist ink, making it perfect for emboss-resist techniques. Just apply ink to it and the pattern pops out. It's the easiest way to get a heat-embossed look—no embossing powder or Heat Tool needed!

I have used the criss cross pattern and inked brayer with Pool party and then used Secret Sea marker to colour in sections of the design. For the floral design I pulled the colours from the Traditions of Christmas DSP Real Red, Pretty in Pink and Pool Party to colour the flowers which I thought looked at lot like the poinsettias. This will hold some 4x6 photos from our past holidays.

Socially Scrappy Saturday

Welcome to another edition of Socially Scrappy Saturday. Getting inky with a double layout of a 12x12 traditional layout and a coordinating pocket page layout.

Today’s layout was inspired by a Sketch I found on Pinterest by Laura Rumble.

I wanted to play with the Christmas Tags & More DSP to show how fun it can be for more than just tags & cards. Which is perfect for the Lasting Memories mood board  challenge #LM773 this week.

I’ve brought out my Large Alphabet dies for my sentiment, The Christmas Words Hybrid Embossing Folder for my Dear Santa cluster and the Traditional Sparkling Sequins and some gold twine for pop and texture.

I love the fun vibe of the triangles reminds me of little elf hats. Plus they are a great way to show off the coordinating paper design in the Christmas Tags & More DSP. The HO HO HO sentiment is cut out in gold foil but the camera didn’t pick it up well. This layout will be perfect for the annual photo with Santa.

Of course I need a pocket page to coordinate with it for the 4x6 photos. I carried over the coordinating triangle design along the 4x4 pockets.

I love the sheet of ephemera that comes with the Christmas Tags & More DSP pack. Great for a little cluster for the Dear Santa sentiment to pop up on my pocket page layout.

Socially Scrappy Saturday

Welcome to another edition of Socially Scrappy Saturday!

Today I am playing with Creative Scrapbookers Magazine’s  October 2025 sketch for my layout inspiration over in their Facebook group. If you’re looking for creative inspiration pop on over and join!

I have chosen to play with the Pine Tree Trimming stamp set, Snowflake Kisses Dies and Elegant Pine Snowflake DSP as well as the Silent Snowfall DSP.

The Silent Snowflake DSP is fun - you can sponge over or brayer over it to add pops of colour. I chose to use Shades Spruce and a brayer to add some colour.

I followed the sketch pretty closely for my 12”x12” side. Using the Pine Tree Trimmings trees fussy cut and popped up with some of the smaller Snowflake Kisses dies. My WINTER title was created with the Alphabet A la Mode dies. I created some torn snowbanks along the bottom and added some Wink A Stella to make it glisten.

Pocket page side coordinates with the Pine Tree Trimmings and Snowflake Kisses dies carried over.

This layout is ear marked for a family hike at the local conservation area photos where we got to feed birds right from our hands - there were so many gorgeous birds!

Scrapbook Global Blog Hop & Throwback Thursday

Welcome to the Scrapbook Global Blog Hop - this month we are playing with our favourite product from the Annual Catalog. I have chosen to play with the Turtle-y Awesome Suite because it’s just so adorable and versatile for many occasions.

As today’s hop is occurring on a Throwback Thursday post day I am also playing with my retired Six Sided Sampler and Hexagon Punch. The colour palette in the Turtle-y Cute DSP is gorgeous and I have chosen the Balmy Blue, Green Garden and Daffodil Delight with a pop of Flirty Flamingo.

For my 12x12 page I was inspired to play along with Scrapbook & Cards Today’s October Sketch. I loved all the squares in this inspiration however opted to use hexagons because of the hexagons in the Turtle-y Awesome Suite other than that I followed the sketch as close as possible. I swapped out the flower embellishments for the two adorable Turtles. I’ve left room for 3 photos in the 3x2 photo mats as I tend to do hidden journaling cards so that the photos can tell most of the story.

For my Pocket Page I carried over the hexagons and Six Sided Sampler stamp set and a Turtle stamped and cut out and left room for 4 photos.

Want to say thank you to our blog hop host Sharon Dalton for organizing - please make sure to go to her blog and show her some love.
