Getting inky with the Artisan Sketched Garden DSP, Friendly Foliage stamp set, Cuttlebug Floral Circle embossing folder from my stash, Hydrangea Hue and Peaceful Pine shimmer brushes, rhinestones and unbranded silver twine. 

Love the final designs clean and elegant effect with the Artisan Sketched Garden DSP  - perfect thinking of you card.

Slimline Sunday

Welcome to another edition of Slimline Sunday.

Today’s card design was inspired by playing along to a few challenges:

Colour INKspiration challenge #217 - pretty colour palette of Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, Bubble Bath, Highland Heather and Crispy Cantaloupe. 

Freshly Made sketches - when I saw the long strip down the middle of the sketch I knew I wanted to try the Spotlight technique with my Sunflower embossing folder. I stretched the sketch to accommodate a slimline design.

 

Festive Friday’s World Cardmaking Challenge #FFO218 I’ve chosen the bright jewel colours, fancy slimline fold, stitching and a decorated envelope. 

I’m getting inky with Sunflower 3D embossing folder, Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera, Bubble Bath ribbon, Antique Pearls & Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, Bubble Bath, Highland Heather, Crisp Cantaloupe inks & blending brushes. 

Love the spotlight technique - such a fun way to add pop of colour!

Festive Friday Challenge Stand Up to Cancer Inspo word list #FF0217 I’ve chosen orange ink, copper twine, awareness ribbon, hope/strength sentiment.

 

I’m getting inky with some ole goodies from my stash back before I used to label old 🤣 Playing with the Cajun Craze, Timid Tiger, Pool Party & Last Lagoon blends and ink pads and some metallic gems.

Love how this one turned out with the design staying along the edge in the little focal cluster.

Technique Tuesday - Black Magic

Welcome to another edition of Technique Tuesday. Today I’m playing with the Black Magic technique using the Fern & Floral embossing folder.

My design was inspired by a couple challenges:

Festive Friday National Zoo Awareness Day #ff0216 inspo list lots of textures, jungle vibes leaves and neutral green jungle colours. 

 

Cupcake Inspiration #CI640 - green garden vibes. 

I’m getting inky with the Fern & Floral embossing folder, Phrases & Frames bundle, Butterfly Flight hot foil bundle, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, Old Olive & Secret Sea inks and unbranded gold twine. 

The Steps to Technique are pretty easy:

1. Ink cardstock with bright colours of choice

2. Run through embossing folder as is with color facing up and the Stampin’ Up! Logo on the top.

3. Ink the top of embossing folder with the logo with your black or dark colour of choice.

4. Run through the folder again to transfer ink down into the design. Reink and repeat if needed to get desired saturation.  

Complete your design. 

Love the bold green colours against the dark almost black magic of the Secret Sea! I used all 3 types of embossing in my design as I created extras for a swap with an embossing theme - the Fern & Floral folder and the Phrases & Frames impressions embossing, the gold heat embossing of my sentiment and hot foil embossing with the butterflies.

Slimline Sunday

Welcome to another edition of Slimline Sunday:

Today’s design came from playing along to several fun challenges - slimline offers more design space so more challenges make it more fun:

Double Trouble 3 layers - 2 colours 1 sentiment challenge. Thing 2 Double Dare to use Try Sketch on Tuesday sketch. Thing 3 Twisted Sister challenge to add extra ingredients - I have added additional layers and colour.

 

Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge #tsot701. - fun hexagon cluster! 

Inspired By…Caterpiller challenge #IB402 - I was inspired by the bright colours. I’ve chosen Timid Tiger, Garden Green and Gorgeous Grape. 

 

Festive Friday challenge #FF0216 National  Zoo Awareness Day. I’ve chosen to add stripes (in the Zebra), Fancy Fold - slimline fold, Texture with embossing folder, Wild Animal - Zebra and Jungle Leaves. 

 

Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc299 left hand row for the win Birthday, Fun Fold and Free I chose to add an interactive wobbler. 

Just Add Ink #JAI792 choose Two - I have Gingham hexagons and Rhinestone sequins.

In getting inky with some ole favourites: Zany Zebra, Six Sided Sample, Hexagon punch, dynamic hexagon embossing folder, Sprig punch, Rhinestone sequins coloured purple and an action wobbler.

Technique Tuesday - Spotlight fun

Welcome to another edition of Technique Tuesday - today I am playing with the Spotlight technique.

Todays card design was inspired by playing along to a few challenges:

Tic Tac Toe challenge #tttc298 played the I for the win this time with Sparkle / Twine / Butterfly / Free square is my technique / Border / Yellow / Markers

Festive Friday World Photography challenge #FF0215 …I chose black, white and a smile sentiment

I’m getting inky with The Butterfly Flight hot foil bundle, Nature’s Symphony stamp set, Stylish 

Shapes dies, Artisan Garden sketched DSP, Wink of Stella and Daffodil Delight blends and retired black gems.

Spotlight technique is a great way to add a pop of colour without having to colour the whole project. 

Here’s a quick process video:

Final design is a cheerful ‘you make me smile’ card to send out to someone as a thank you for being a friend.

Time Out Challenges #TOC318 Mother Nature so grabbed my flip flops and headed out to smell the flowers!

I’m getting inky with Summer Happiness bundle with coordinated washi tape, Stylish Shapes dies, Sincerely Noted Mix & Match ephemeral, Pearl dots and Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon. 

Love how the Just a Note design came together - hoping I am little closer to the CAS design rules. The tone on tone flip flops are adorable and the little flowers from the Summer Happiness bundle are great for die cutting in white and adding sponged colours of choice.
