Welcome to my Wake Up & Create on Thursday challenge.

It’s a little mix of Throwback Thursday with an image inspiration to use to inspire you to shop your stash and combine some old favourites with new goodies in a new way and than share to inspire others to do the same with their stash!

Today’s design was inspired by playing along to a couple other challenges! 

Another go at Hand Stamped Sentiments mood board #495 this time inspired by the summer flip flops & chill of the beach.

Time Out Challenges #TOC320 photo inspiration mood board - love the arches in the windows and the bright colours 

Getting inky with Summer Happiness bundle, Sunset Coast stamp set, Everyday Arch dies, Wink of Stella and from my stash the Mini Corrugated embossing folder,  Cat Punch, Sprig Punch and unbranded silver twine and the My Memories digital scrapbook program (formerly My Digital Studio) for my custom sentiment creation. 

This Fabulous custom card was created for my sister who is celebrating her retirement from teaching at the college/university level. I love being able to make custom quotes for cards and add little personal details to card designs such as the little black cat representing Mazikeen her little black kitty!

I’m getting inky with the Fun for Fall, Sunflower Fields DSP, Spotlight on Nature dies, Mossy Meadow gingham ribbon, Radiant Gems.

Fun “Hay There” card for a fall occasion. The Spotlight Technique is a great way to showcase all the pretty paper which is handy when you can’t decide which side of the paper to showcase. I do not want to rush the last of summer but I do love Fall for its gorgeous colours, warm days with cool nights and the deliciousness that is crockpot season with delicious Fall favourite meals!

Technique Tuesday - Peekaboo Diamond

Clean & Simple Saturday

Welcome to another edition of Clean & Simple Saturday - still working at trying to hone those clean and simple design principles.

Todays design was inspired by playing along to a couple challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches #FMS748 I used a cluster of florals in place of the 3 circles. 

Time Out Challenge #TOC319 - pick 2 - over achiever that I am CAS design & Floral focal point & Birthday Best Wishes sentiments & Geometric stripes & polka dots

And a new one Krafty Chicks Challenge - birthday #832 Best Wishes sentiment.

I’m getting inky with Artisan Sketched Garden DSP, blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green blends, antique pearls and unbranded silver twine.

Think I got an ‘almost” clean and simple criteria with this one -  tried to keep my cluster contained in the bottom corner with a bit of subtle score lines up the side.

Whimsical Wings & Things Wednesday

Welcome to another edition of Whimsical Wings & Things Wednesday - today’s offering is all about the Gilded Wings!

Today’s card design was inspired by playing along to a few fun challenges: 

Another round of AAA Coloirful colour themed challenges as I had left overs from yesterday’s technique session to use.

Sunday Stamps sketch #SSC391 - I swapped out the large oval for a Hexagon. 

Time Out Challenge encore because I love nature vibes cards. #TOC318 

I’m getting inky with the Gilded Wing Accents, Sincerely Noted Mix & Match ephemera, Crushed Curry, Golden Glow, Balmy Blue & Azure Afternoon reinkers, Metallic Gems and unbranded gold twine. 

 

I just love the Gilded Wing Accents against this colour palette - the deep rich blues against the golden yellows is so striking. I coloured on the gilded wings with my blends to add some blue hues to the butterfly as well. The large hexagon sentiment from the Sincerely Noted Mix & Match ephemera pairs perfectly.

I’m getting inky with Summer Happiness bundle with coordinated washi tape, Stylish Shapes dies, Sincerely Noted Mix & Match ephemeral, Pearl dots and Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon. 

Love how the Just a Note design came together - hoping I am little closer to the CAS design rules. The tone on tone flip flops are adorable and the little flowers from the Summer Happiness bundle are great for die cutting in white and adding sponged colours of choice.

Technique Tuesday Fidget Spinner fun

Welcome to another edition of technique Tuesday - today I am playing with adding fidget spinner to a card.

My card design was inspired by playing along with a few challenges:

Sweet Stampin’ Anything But A Birthday card - chose to add a You Did It sentiment 

Time Out Challenge #TOC315 Pick 2 inspo list - summer fun sunset by the beach! 

I’m getting inky with Scenic Coast DSP, Boardwalk Fun DSP, Greetings for All ephemera pack and fidget spinners from Amazon. 

The fidget spinners are an easy to use add on that gives your card an interactive experience.

A fun “hey you did it”  card - will work for either a graduation or retirement because after either event you deserve a vacation by the water where you can ride the Ferris wheel as you watch the sun go down!
