Minimalist Monday vibes

Welcome to another edition of Minimalist Monday vibes - working on honing the clean and simple design philosophy.

Today’s card design was inspired by playing along to a few challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches #FMS752 - I inverted to landscape to accommodate my sentiment but otherwise followed the sketch elements.

Clean and Simple CAS cards for Beginners #saturdaychallenge36 Autumn theme.

CAS Mix Up has a watercolour sunflower challenge. 

I love my Aqua painter for no mess water colouring! 

Inspiration Station another go at their sunflower mood board.

I’m getting inky with an old favourite from my stash Celebrate Sunflowers with Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Early Espresso inks, Crisp Cantaloupe Glimmer pen, Gold Acrylic pen, Bronze twine and Cajun Craze gems.  

Final design resulted in a beautiful birthday or congratulations card for a sunflower lover. Camera just doesn’t due the glimmer shine justice!

My final card design was inspired by playing along to several challenges to get the MOJO flowing:

Clean & Simple Cards for Beginners #saturdaychallenge34 Vases - opted to use the Artisan Sletched Garden DSP for the fun vases. 

Almost Clean & Simple Cards #saturdaychallenge10 Mostly Vellum - added some vellum spigs to behind my vase. 

Krafty Chicks has a CAS challenge this week so perfect for Minimalistic Monday design.

CAS on Friday challenge  Make a Round card #CASF341

CAS colours & sketches colour challenge Misty Moonlight, Pecan Pie & Berry Blast.

Addicted to CAS code word Anniversary - using a Happy Anniversary sentiment from Scenic Coast stamp set.

I’m getting inky with Artisan Sketched Garden DSP, Vellum, Sunset Coast stamp set and from my stash nesting circle dies and sprig punch, metallic gems, Misty Moonlight & Berry Blast blends and Pecan Pie ink with a blending brush.   

It has been a long time since I have tried a round card design - I fussy cut out the floral vase and coloured with Misty Moonlight & Berry Blast blends. I blended some Pecan Pie around the edge and behind the vase for some vintage vibes. Added some sprigs of vellum and a few gold metallic gems.

Getting inky with an old favourite this time of year - Fall Fest paired with Greetings for All ephemera, antique pearls and unbranded gold twine. 

Final design a cute little pumpkin to wish someone a Happy Halloween this upcoming season.

My card was inspired by playing along to a couple challenges:

CAS on Friday #339 flowers - I’ve chosen the Sunflower embossing folder for this round. 

AAA Cards Challenge #320 - S themed challenge I have Sunflowers and Silver Shiny foil

As You See It  - Summer Days #AYSI378 - I have sunflowers and a summer yellow palette.

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #tttc298 top row for the win: sparkle, twine and butterfly.

I’m getting inky with the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil bundle, Coneflower Celebration stamp set, Sunflower embossing folder, Greetings for You ephemera pack and black gold twine.

Fun simple elegant ‘thinking of you’ card. I love the look of embossed vellum and the black & white with pops of yellow is so cheerful and hopefully will elicit pick me up vibes in the receiver.

Minimalist Monday Vibes

Welcome to another edition of Minimalist Monday vibes - trying to keep my design to clean and simple criteria. 

Design inspired by playing along to a couple challenges 

Color Dare challenge #713 colour palette I’ve chosen Soft Sea Foam, 

Fresh Freesia and Lemon Lolly. 

Just Us Girls Anything Goes Stencil week #JUG833 - I’m using a brick stencil.

Getting inky with July POM Begonia Belle and Golden Glow shimmer brush, retired brick stencil and antique pearls along with my colour palette inks. 

Also had a chance to play with my new toy - picked up a sticky mat to keep my project in place while blending or using a stencil. Works way better than painters tape which always seemed to rip my paper when I would lift it off. 

Love the pink & yellow colour combo with this flower. The brick wall stencil lis a nice backdrop and I added some splatters with the Golden Glow shimmer brush and a few pearls. Lovely thank you card ready to go our to someone.

Today’s design was inspired by playing along to a few challenges.

Case-ing Tuesday Sketches #572 casing the May-August 2026 Page 54. 

The Paper Players colour palette - I’m playing with Flirty Flamingo, Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lolly. 

Addicted to CAS Code Word UP …. I’ve chosen to add butterflies flying up into my design. 

Getting inky with Friendly Foliage for my sentiment, Gilded Wings Accents, 1 7/8” circle punch, Rhinestone gems, Flirty Flamingo, Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lolly, Gold Metallic ink. 

Final design is a clean and simple cheerful ‘Get Well Soon’ card.

Today’s card design was inspired by playing along to CAS On Friday - #332 sympathy card prompt. 

Getting inky with sneak peek of the Floral Spray 3D embossing folder, Friendly Foliage stamp set, Fragrant Layers stamp set, Wink of Stella and antique pearls. 

A simple but stunning ‘thinking of you” sympathy card.

The Wink of Stella is so pretty but hard to catch the glimmer in a photograph. LOL
