Tuesday tips & tricks

Welcome to Tuesday tips & tricks here on the blog. Today’s card design showcases how to make the most out of your DSP to minimize waste and get the most value from your products.

Getting inky with the Scenic Coast suite,  Sunset Sparkle Sequins, Inspired by Nature dies, Blueberry Bushel, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Highland Heather inks, blender brushes.

I had a piece of the Scenic Coast DSP where I had cut a hole for another card. Not wanting it to go to waste I used a piece of Basic White, ink from the papers color palette and blender brush and created a sunset vibe to layer behind the hole. I than cut out the lighthouse in Basic Black and used the Spotlight on Nature circle due to crate a cruise ship window vibe for the lighthouse die-cut. Stamped my sentiment and added some sequins. Perfect vibes for upcoming Father’s Day or, Retirement or Anniversary card!

Paper scraps are also great for decorating the inside of your envelope with coordinating for the uniquely homemade details.

Fancy Folds on a Friday

Welcome to another edition of Fancy Folds on a Friday. Today I am playing with a centre pop up fold.

My design took inspiration from the Festive Friday Challenge - World Cardmaking Challenge #FF0193. I have chosen blue, pink/purple, rhinestones, a fun fold, patterned paper, colouring and a thinking of you “I’m here for you” sentiment from the inspiration list.

I’m playing with my Beautiful Butterflies stamp set and dies with the Watercolour Bokeh DSP the Fresh Freesia and Balmy Blue colour palette with some Frosted Iridescent gems.

The centre pop up was the perfect fold for the butterfly focal image.

I’m always looking for a new fold to try. What’s your favourite fold for cards?
