I’ve chosen the following 3 colours from my Stampin’ Blends collection: Summer Splash, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.

Combined the colour challenge with the CAS colours & sketches sketch challenge #556

As well as the CAS on a Friday Challenge #315 - Baby

I’ve chosen to use the Turtley Cute stamp set and dies and Full of Life 6x6 papers from Stampin’ Up! Along with a retired sentiment set We’ll Said.

Creating a cute little welcome card for an up coming baby shower for a coworker.

Weekend Creative challenge #8

It’s Happy FriYAY! A brand new month to conquer!

Nurturing one’s creativity is SO key to helping to ensure a healthy mindset … human beings are all born with an instinct to express themselves through creativity but sometimes external factors impede peoples abilty to engage in creative expression and so their full healthy mindset is also impeded! We need to get back to ensuring that everyone has at least ONE creative outlet for expressing themselves. 

So here’s another instalment of the Weekend Creativity Challenge - each week I will post a photo prompt that you can use to get your creativity mojo going! 

Choose from the photos colours or imagery or just the general feeling/emotion that it brings to your heart! 

You can create with whatever medium speaks to you and inspires you! There are so many ways to nurture one’s creative soul!

Bright Baubles

OK I already loved the Bright Baubles Bundle but seeing this Artisan team member inspiration and now he layered them to really make them POP I want it even more!!! 

So intricate and elegant! They’d look lovely hanging on a tree too! I just love making paper ornaments for my tree! 

Tombow glue is perfect for intricate gluing and dries clear. A little trick I use if I need a really intricate dab of glue is make a puddle in my silicone mar and use the paper poker to dot on OR I use a sponge and dab the glue onto sponge and than dab onto the paper dies for a nice even application.

Relex Don't Do it ...

Margaret here guest designing with the Scrapbook Nerds! This week were are creating around the theme 'Relax'! 

If you have not already joined make sure to come on over and join us in our group so you can play along too - the group is fun and Joy has great contests and prize giveaways!

For me relaxing is playing with mixed media and getting messy in the craftroom - so I am offering a few cards featuring mixed media background using Alcohol inks and metallic paints for a faux Mother of Pearl technique! 

I paired my mixed media with the My Favorite Things All About You Stamp and Die set to create some Missing and Thinking you inspired cards to send out to those whom I have not been able to see over the past few months to know I am thinking of them!

I am just loving this stamp set - so many fun options for it and perfect for lots of occasions!

Global Design #246 and Inspired by Challenge card

Today I am using two challenges for inspiration for my card design! 

The Global Design #246 Challenge and the Inspired By Fresh Morning Challenge

I created two cards featuring Vicki Boutin's Color Kaleidoscope line with some of the 12x12 paper and the coordinating stencil pack and the Wild Flower and Honey cardstock stickers. 

I used the blender brushes and a color palette featuring Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue and Rococo Rose from Stampin' Up!

 Finished products ....

Join us for an Adventure Challenge this month

Margaret here guest designing for Scrapbook Nerds and Friends! 

Feels so good to see the light at the end of the tunnel and have a handle on my immune system once again which means more energy allowing me some left over to get back into the craft room and get my hands inky!
 

This month's theme is Adventure with a bonus color challenge! 

 I opted to choose my inks from Stampin' Up! The Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove, Petal  Pink and Soft Sea Foam were a perfect match in my opinion! 

My idea of an adventure is being out in nature with the flowers so I opted to play with the Vicki Boutin color kaleidoscope stencil and coordinating cardstock stickers for my sentiment and paired with the color challenge palette!

I am just loving the Picket Fence Studio brushes - the come in all sorts of sizes on the Scrapbook Nerd website!I l love how the varied sizes allow you to get into tiny spots and provide a lovely blend!

 Here is my finished card - a perfect card for either retirement, bon voyage or just because!

June's Paper Pumpkin has arrived!

So excited when my Paper Pumpkin arrives each month! 

This month's Paper Pumpkin is all about #sharesunshine and this is the exclusive stamp set that comes with the kit!

These are the 4 card designs that come with the box - perfect for new crafters or those in a hurry that do not want to have to think up their own designs - quick and easy yet totally adorable!!!!

 And these are 4 designs I came up with using the supplies from in my box but thing 'outside the box'!

I cut the sunshine card base in half for this card. Used the smile sentiment from the exclusive #sharesunshine Paper Pumpkin kit with versamark and black embossing powder and mounted on a new whisper white card base, basic black card front and embellished with some metallic pearls!

For my second card I cut a strip of the one card front and than mounted on white card base and used a black polka dot sticker, die sun die cut and a label and embellished with the kits bling!

 Card number three I cut the stripped card front in half and mounted on black card front on a white base and embellished with items from my kit! 

 Final outside the box design for today - again made use the card front by cutting it in half diagonally and than used kit embellishments to finish it off!
